Question by xalliooopx3: My nine week old chorkie has tapeworms…?
We found out on Saturday that my dog has worms (we saw what looked like white rice in her poop). We put her on Safe-Guard canine dewormer medicine last night. This morning, only about 2 worms were in her poop. rather than her usual 6-7. About half an hour ago, she pooped, but it was all worms. The company thinks (we called them) that she might have multiple types of worms, but the medicine should cure them (the medicine cures tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms). When she pooped, there were a LOT of worms. Does this mean the medicine is working or is she all clear? I know that we still have to keep checking for them, but I just want to know if they’re getting worse or better.

Answer by Whit nor Of course the company is not going to admit that their product is garbage. You need to get your dog to the vet for a fecal exam and real medicine to treat the correct type of worms. Not to mention that your vet will be able to answer all your questions…

he is like in bad humor and latelly is week to. the other one, a pointer, seems fine. they live together .

They had round worms and i gave them some liquid NEMEX wormer and i dont see anymore of those worms, but now, i have got all the fleas off and they have tape worms…These were homeless puppies…HELP!!

Answer by Goldengal Every vet I know has a person to cover for them. Call your vets number and get in touch with them and get the pups some meds.
Skelly has shown marked improvement. He’s looking and acting healthier and more well behaved each day. We will see if the vet agrees on Thursday when we take him in for his follow up. i was wondering when it should take full effect because it seems like she has more worms then before, its really scaring me and i don’t want her to die. please help me out
her worms are both flat and round i am really confused about this whole worm situation.

Answer by Show Breeders Sell Better Pups I dont worm my dogs, so i dont know for sure, but i believe the “increase” in worms is her expelling them.
