Question by luvmydoggies4ever: does my dog have some type of worm?
My dog is 13 weeks old. He is a golden-doodle. He had bad diarrea a few weeks ago and the vet gave him Albon and it went away. I just had a fecal examine on him and they said it was negative for anything. I see small white dots in his poop and he has diarrea again. What could this be???
I am feeding him very good food. It is an all natural product called Canidae. So I don’t think this could be the problem. It is a dry food as well.

Question by kwareman: How can you tell if your dog worms are dangerous to humans and what type they are?
Can I fix this myself or do I have to take them to the vet. I have a pit that’s about a month or two old.

Any puppy, no matter if it came from a breeder or a shelter, should be taken to the vet for a basic exam within 48 hours of getting it.
for your specific question:
Take the puppy to the vet. get a fecal done. get the puppy dewormed based on the types of eggs found in the fecal. Then have the vet start with puppy vaccines. The vet should be a normal part of any healthy, growing puppy’s life.

He needs to see a vet.. any kind of intestinal worms can still come out alive in the poop.
Black poop is ussually an indication that he is bleeding somewhere in the upper digestive tract.. he needs a vet!

Question by lolitagirl: What type of worm(parasites) are dogs born with?
I heard it has to be one for a a type of worm they’re born with. What type of worm is this? Is it round or tape worm, or a different one? The medicine has to be given once every year to keep the worm under control.
I gave my small dog(mattise) one clove of garlic chopped up in thin layers with his food for three days, first two days his poop came out fine, but today it was like chunky diareah.
This dog is not a puppy his a a small dog but a little over a year old.

What in the world are you trying to do? Get rid of worms or kill the dog? Raw garlic is TOXIC to dogs, not to mention you have a small breed. (Maltese) Get the PROPER de-wormer…..don’t take this into your own hands. It’s Roundworm that most pups have. Geeeeeeze!
