I’m not 100% sure but I think he could still be passing them. When my dog had tapeworms the vet gave her one pill that day and the next one she had to take 3-4 weeks later. She didnt pass anymore after that but that’s probably why they give you the second treatment, to make sure they’re all gone. But it’s always best to ask the vet. A phone call is free.

Give him Drontal – I guess you can buy it from a pet store or the net, dosage appropriate for the dogs weight, repeat in 14 days.

Question by Britney: My dog took albon suspension, panacur, and worm shield yesterday.. is he gonna be okay?
so the albon suspension and panacur was given to me by my doctor because in the fecal flotation they found isispora spp (3 eggs) and in the direct smear they found motile protozoan and bacteria. so i gave my dog the correct dosage yesterday. and at dinner, he ate about half of his food. then a couple of hours later i gave my dog worm shield. and he is crate trained but he kept on crying at night for hours so i finally took him out and held him bc he was obviously upset about something. so i let him sleep with me and he was clearly feeling uncomfortable. so i woke up in the morning, and walked him.and i gave him food but he only had a few bites. he’s being really letargic. whats wrong with him?? did my vet mess up?

my vet said that i could give all 3 meds at once

and i already called my vet but they were suppose to call me back but im getting impateient!

Question by casey: Dog took his heart worm preventative this morning, threw up this evening, does he need another dose?
Or do you think he was able to digest it already. He most likely played to hard this evening and got an upset tummy.

Well, the dog can digest food about the same as a human, so probably not, but its better to be safe than sorry.
