My In Laws Dog Has Worms, Can This Be Passed To My Kids?
my in laws do not take there dogs to the vet, they diagnosed this themselves and bought worming medicine from the store.. the dog is older and is showing symptoms like vomiting, lack of appetite, just lays around and wont play or anything.. he has been like this for weeks.. there other dog who was 15 years old was dying over the past month, he was just very old and it was his time. they thought the younger dog was feeling sympathy pain and was sad over the dying dog since they have been together since he was a puppy, but once the older dog died he was still sick and that triggered them that something else was wrong.. they are not bad people but just cant afford to take the dog to the vet, they are elderly and on fixed incomes…. my concern is that my children are there after school everyday and regulary kiss and play with the dog… can the worm be passed to them and if so how can i prevent this and what symptoms should i look for.. this scares me.
