a year ago, the puppies were sicker..than a dog We had just gotten them from a shelter and they became deathly ill – they both developed pneumonia and had parasites… They are doing so much better a year later – here they are enjoying a late fall day. Video Rating: 0 / 5
I had to laugh when I met Excel. He was in a crate with Snuffy the Shih Tzu. I was taking these photos and reached in to get Snuffy and – poof – I had Excel instead. What a happy-go-lucky guy he is. Well, it’s just no wonder – he’s still just a baby. And trying to get pictures….well, let’s just say these are the only ones that are sorta in focus! At least the video should be good…. Like so many rescued dogs in the south, Excel has tested positive for heartworms. He will be treated before going to his forever home. For more information go to www.petrescuebyjudy.rescuegroups.com
My dog was injured with a few cuts on his back, since then, he had been losing weight rapidly. These are a few things that i can observed :
- He seems very thirsty, drink a lot.
- His eyes were waterly.
- He breathe very soundly.
He’s still eats as much as he used to eat and still active.
I suspect its a worm problem that caused it. My dog accidentally drank poison 2 years ago but we managed to saved him. Could damaged kidney symptom show up this late? ( as losing weight could caused by kidney problem)
We took my Bull Terrier to the breeder nearly two weeks ago to have her studded.. She’s been acting normal and excited just as before, but she’s had terrible diarrhea.. The breeder used a bit of his food when my dog’s ran out.. I know that can cause diarrhea but she’s been on Science Diet Sensitive Stomach since she’s been home and its not gotten better. Last night she rubbed her butt on the carpet, but there’s no worms in her stool.. I suspected tapeworms, but she’s never had fleas at our house and I’m not sure how quickly she would show symptoms of tapeworms if she caught them from the breeder’s kennel.. But she didn’t come home with any fleas. Also, around the inside of her anus is black stuff.. Its not feces, but its also not alive. Is it possible that its the feces of any worms she may have? Thanks
I have a 2 1/2 year old female, pure bred blue-nosed APT. She’s 65 lbs, always been very healthy, current on all vaccines, we give her a heart worm pill every month & she suddenly has been having this dry, hacking cough that started this weekend. Her parents never had any serious conditions and we haven’t taken her to the dog park in a few months. She hasn’t been to any vet offices, groomers, or anything which would include other dogs or animals. She’s been drinking water and her coat’s elasticity seems to be normal. We also have 2 other American Pits that are showing no similar symptoms. She has had a slight dis-intrest in her food but she’s still energetic and seems to be normal. She has a vet appt. on Friday but I was wondering if anybody had a dog with similar symptoms? Or even might know what it is? I have done a little research on it but it could be anything! I’m hoping it’s just allergies but she has never had this before! Any info would be greatly appreciated!
