I had a puppy Who recently passed away. He was my baby the apple of my eye. When we got him we knew he was prone to getting mange but the girl who gave him to us acted like it was no big deal and that if he started having symptoms to email her for the medication. He started loosing hair on the top of his head but it was scabby so we figured he was loosing his hair to grow a new coat like some puppys do. It started getting worse so I e-mail the woman and she never e-mailed me back. Like I said we didn’t think it was severe so we didn’t take him to the vet. We found a medication online and bought it we put it on him and two days later he passed away its our guess that the disease weakened his immune system so the medication along with killing the mites also killed him. This happened less then a week ago and I miss him and still love him but there is a dog across the street who is as sweet as can be, but her owners keep her chained to a tree everyday morning night sometimes even in the rain. Now I live in the south so the average temperature is can get pretty high… She is under a tree but still… they don’t pay much attention to her. One night it was 3:00 am i had just returened from the midnight premiere of harry potter and she came trotting up so I convinced my mom to let her inside she slept in bed with me and she got along with our other dog.the next morning we saw she had a tick in her ear and a hernia. When going to the niehgbors to explain that she ” came pawing at the door in the middle of the night” she told us that the dog had worms and they didnt have the money to keep her and that they might be looking for a new home for her. I could give her that home. But I wonder if it is to early to get a dog. there seems to be to many conflictions. help?
