Question by justn4me: Is it safe to treat tapeworms in a nursing female dog, will it hurt the puppies?
I know it will be safe to treat the female dog for hookworms & roundworms, but I am not completely sure about tapeworms. The daddy dog has tapeworms and if he has them then I am sure the mom does too. I will be giving her Happy Jack Tapeworm tablets, is it safe for the puppies? Should I treat them too? They are 2 weeks old.

Safe Dog Worm removal?

Question by Havoc Angel: Safe Dog Worm removal?
Recently I noticed my dog has some kind of worms when he defecates. I was sickened by my sidekick having these worms so I went to green thumb and bought a worm/snail killing powder and put it in his food for the last three days or so in small portions but saw the worms again this morning so I raised the amount of the serving.

This afternoon my dog became violently ill and shaking… Are the worms killing my dog?

Best answer:

Answer by gud ole kuntry boy
the powder you gave the dog was to kill other type worms and snails, not worms like you see in a dog. You have poisoned him with the powder. If it isn’t too late, take him to the vet.
