today i found a white ring-like circle on my 3 year old pug. I’m really worried that it could possibly be ringworm. There is a dark, nipple-like thing in the center of the white ring. The ring is located very close to the penis area. Do you think my dog has ringworm? If so, what can I do to treat it?

your dog MIGHT have a ring worm. idk. the best thing to do is to take your dog to the vet.

I need help. Please if any one has been through ringworm tell me how to disinfect every thing and when. We have a major out break with cats, rabbits, goats, and dogs having ringworm. I am afraid people will be getting it next.I need to know how to get rid of it completly even in the enironment. I am alreaady treating the gaots and dogs which are getting better. I have a litter of 2 week old kittens. When and how can I treat them???

How/when do I bleach? Before of after the spots are healed or both?

I was rubbing my dogs belly today and noticed a bunch of circular red spots with small dark dots in the middle. I live in the woods and at one point found a tick on him that I pulled out (Yes I got the head) but then when I called the vet to set up his appointment for today to get it looked at they said it might be ringworm (his last wormer was beginning of last month so he is due for another). He’s a 2 year old dachshund. Our roommates dog had worms but never had red spots or anything so I don’t think if it is worms its the same kind.

So yesterday at the shelter, I was forced to deal with ringworm at the shelter.
A whole litter of bloodhound/mastiff pups and a few other pups that were in foster with them

What does ringworm look like on a human?
And how fast does it show up?
And if I have it…how do I avoid passing it on to my dogs and cats?

I am itchy, and I have a few patches of rough, itchy skin, as well as random bumps on my legs
Is this ringworm?
Or is it a mind over matter thing?

Also, for those of you who have dealt with it,
What is it like?

Note: Some of the picts are quite gross

Keep the area covered and don’t let you’re animals near that spot on you if you have it. If you do have it I would go to the doctor to see if they can prescribe something to you to clear it up.
