Question by PMD: Dog has diarrhea and its not parasites.?
My dog has diarrhea (not constant) when she goes potty which is twice a day its diarrhea since Sunday. No blood or anything. I took a stool sample in today and its negative of parasites. She’s not a puppy. She’s a 14 month old lab. What else can it be. Her brother has it a little too. They are both acting soo normal. Wild and everything. They’ve both been on a bland diet (rice and chicken and a little bit of yogurt since Sunday).
Yes, they tested for Coccidia and Giardia and all the rest of those gross things.
No change in diet whatsoever prior to diarrhea.
They eat Innova Adult and have been on it since we adopted them both.

What are you worried about and why?!
You can get “parasites” from travelling on a train, using public toilets or even, yuck, cuddling a baby…….

Question by aussiegenes: In Islam, What Exactly is Unclean About Dogs That Are Well Cared For and Kept Clean and Free of Parasites?
My dogs are cleaner than some peoples’ kids! They are free of internal and external parasites and they are groomed regularly. They have been taught manners – no jumping on people, no counter surfing, etc. If you make friends with someone’s dog, does that make you unclean?

There could be, depending on what they ate. Viruses I would say no, because most are host-specific.

Question by Zack Canbash: Parasites from a dog’s poop?
Well, my friend has 2 dogs and they have a fenced backyard.
Today, he let them into the house and everytime they see me, they get all on me and stuff, like they get on their 2 hind legs and stand up and touch my pants with their 2 front legs.
I was wondering, if they stepped in their own poop and then that got in my pants could I get parasites?
I did touch my mouth…
