I just took in a homeless puppy and he needs wormed and vaccinated but my budjet is tight. It never seemed to cost this much to have a dog. It used to be , you took them to the vet and they womed them and, vaccinated them in one day. now they want to do alot more, and they want you to come back for more visits. These things I never needed to do before and all my dogs lived long healthy , happy lives.

I gave my dog over the counter worm pills and a week later took him to the vet forgetting about what i had gave him. The vet gave him all his shots even for worms. and now he is sick. Hasn’t eaten in two days. Started out throwing up. He won’t eat or drink. Could this be what is making him sick?
He has stopped vomiting, but he still won’t eat or drink. He just lays around. He is only 4 months old. I gave him wa-l-mart over the counter worm pills and then the vet gave him a lot of shots. The treated him for worms again.

Actually i do know what kind of worms she has. I was told the kind at the supermarket do work. Otherwise i will be paying $100 at the vet.

My 11 yr old pom is exhibiting symptoms of Worms and we are taking her to the vet. She is lethargic, visible sore back side and some vomiting. We gave her an OTC med and she was better yesterday, but just vomited some yellow foam.
We live in an apartment and there is feces outside from where people do not clean up. I am 9 months pregnant and REALLY worried about a newborn picking up worms from the dog. I would think that she will keep getting them over and over from being out in the yard and walking thru all the s***! How dangerous is this to a baby (and us) and will she keep getting it over and over?
