Question by KS: How often do your dogs get tapeworm?
I found the infamous little rice grains stuck to one dog’s tail…again. This is the third time in 2 years. I use revolution which keeps them completely free of fleas. He was dewormed by the vet the other two times he got them. Why does he have them again and what am I doing wrong???

I’ve heard of some people worming their dogs every month, my vet said that’s not good and not needed. He says to test my dog’s feces once every 6 months and then if she has worms, then we would treat that specific worm, otherwise, giving wormer for worms she doesn’t have will just be giving toxins(the wormer) to her for nothing.

In addition: If you live in an area where heartworm is prevalent, you need to give monthly heartworm Preventive Mediation.

Question by What.. EVER: Raw Feeders: Do you worm your dog and how often?
The vets my dog has seen, have never ever told me I have to worm my adult dog, yet I read online that people worm their dogs every 3 months or 2 times a year or once a year.
I’m asking Raw feeders because they seem to be careful about what they give their dog, as they generally steer clear of chemicals and unnatural things.
