this has no real connection to WORM WARS-expect for the characters-it just seemed fun to do. this is basically a little video with references to children in need-it would have been better, but i only had a few hours to make in, and i couldn’t do it the day before children in need. sadly also, the dramatic chipmunk and DJ kitty scenes came out all retarded-but apart from that it’s an OK vid.i know it does have alot of spelling mistakes, but like i said-very rushed-it’s really come out worse than the Zero Wing game trnaslation (see “all your base are belong to us”) still-always next year! music: Dick Dale-Misirlou (that song from Pulp fiction) Tony Christie-Amerillo (used on a parody of the video) remember to donate to children in need, and watch the other WORM WARS videos, they’re much better than this one trust me (epsideo 3 out soon!) enjoy! =D

Our dog has seen the vet twice this week. He hasn’t eaten in a week and he is vomiting after drinking water. He has had a treatment for whipworms even though none were found in the “sample” just as a precautionary measure. He is having shots for nausea each day but it’s not seeming to help & he can’t keep his antibiotics down. Our vet will use intravenous fluids only as a last resort because the dog doesn’t do well when being “fussed” with. Negative for heartworms. Does anyone have any suggestions to help stop the vomiting in order to stay hydrated? Or any suggestions on what may be wrong with him. How long can a dog go without eating?

I would take him into an emergency vet today and get a second opinion.

I have a 53lbs golden retriever who is 15 months old – not likely to get any bigger… right now she takes the Interceptor heart worm medicine for dogs that are 51-100lbs… I know some people think the medicine does more harm than good but I am not ready to totally do away with it because I do think it does good – but I don’t want to overdose her – she has already had a case of whipworms (which is why I switched from heartguard to Interceptor in the first place), I am about to order a 12 month supply and don’t know whether I should go with the tablets that are for dogs 23 – 50lbs or 51-100lbs – since she is kind of in the middle… any suggestions? feedback would be greatly appreciated.

LEVI WILL BE AT PETCO IN MANSFIELD EVERY SATURDAY FROM 3-7 Petco-Mansfield 2041 Highway 287 N #601 Mansfield, TX 76063 682-518-8878 Levi was rescued from the Cleburne shelter on 9/22/2010. He and Iris, are the only dogs that made it our alive that were scheduled for euthanazia that day. He and Iris immediatly were taken to the local DIY dog grooming station where Levi’s foster mom picked off the ticks from poor Levi. Levi was a wonderful sport getting his bath and being dried by a blower. Now Levi is living in a pack enviroment learning doggy manners from more experienced fosters dogs accompanied with his foster mom’s spray bottle filled with water. He is being crate trained. Doing great housetraining. Levi loves to play with other dogs. He does not get along with small alpha males, however. He just won’t put up with Bulling! lol! He would also likely do well as the only dog in the house as long as he has canine friends he will get to play with outside of the home. Levi loves going to the dog park and making new friends. He has not been tested yet with cats, but I have a feeling he might be a cat chaser! He has not been tested with children either, however he loves his foster mom’s 16 year old son. Levi is a VERY affectionate, curious and a loyal little guy. As you can see in his picture, his head comes up to an average adult’s knee. He is estimated to be about a year old and will not get any larger. Levi has been neutered, he is UTD on rabies and core vaccinaitions. He …

Does your dog just use one area of the yard to go to the bathroom. If so just pour boiling water in that area and it should kill the eggs. ALso clean up feces promptly after he goes outside and dig up some of the dirt under it so no pieces get left behind.

My dog barfs after taking his monthly dose of heartworm medicine. It’s like clockwork! My dog is mostly an indoor dog, does not go to kennels, and only is outside when we walk him or if he goes in the backyard for short periods of time.

Eww. They can live for YEARS in the soil. Don’t go barefoot. Luckily, if you can say that it’s lucky, the kind that a human gets from dogs produces a rash so you would know you had them and go get treatment as opposed to fostering a bellyful unknowingly.Having said that, I need to go puke now.

I rescued a dog that has hookworms and I wasn’t given much info on what to do besides have the dogs go potty in separate places. I did get the liquid treatment. But now- do I have to disinfect my house? Keep my dogs away from the other dog? I found out he has them yesterday and he has been here for 4 days. I find out in two days if my dogs have it.
Anyone with experience or more knowledge with this?

Yes I’m getting them tested tomorrow. I’m just having a hard time waiting to see the vet, due to the holiday I had to wait to get in til tomorrow. I had trouble keeping them out of each other food and water and am hoping for the best. I’ve only had the dog since Sunday so I’m hoping that if they do have it – it will be quick to rid them, but of course even better if they haven’t gotten just yet. The rescue dog started treatment today.

Finally got to talk to the Vet- main concern is picking up the poo and not letting them walk in that potty area. I feel better, rescue dog is on his 2nd day of meds, and my two dogs are being tested monday. Thank you for the answers!!

Shots are for certain diseases – rabies etc. – NOT heartworm.

Heartworm pills are for heartworms, which strangle the heart and often kill a dog.

Yes. They will be able to recommend the correct medicine for your dog. You don’t have to buy it from the vet, however.
