She is bloated and very tired and she got her worm treatment a couple of hours ago. She is only a pup and weighs less than 4 pounds if that makes a difference. When should I expect her to start feeling better?

We have given our dog his heart worm and flea/tick meds regularly, since adopting last Feb. We have used all his heart worm medication and wondered if we need to continue it. If I remember correctly, I think it is optional to keep them on it year round, but wondered if anyone else stops the heart worm medication during the winter months. Any suggestions are appreciated.

She just took a 3 pill today and its once a month meds so its been 3 months but i still see worms in her poop. and my dad said he saw one on the plate she licked.
this was the same medication shes been taking since we got her from the previous owners. she was already taking the medication before we found out she had worms
