Does My Dog Have Worms?

I have a 2 year old Chihuahua Jack Russell mix. On and off for the past few months (maybe every 2 weeks) I’ve noticed little whitish-grey blobs, about the size of a pinky fingernail, that come out with his poop. They almost look like a slug of some sort. I’ve checked website for symptoms related to worms but he seems totally normal other than the occasional passing of these little blobs. He has had all the recommended shots. Does this sound like worms? This is my first dog, so I am not very knowledgeable as yet. Thanks!
