Can a dog catch worms from eating the poop of a dog that i on medication for worms?

My puppy has worms and is on medication and has been for 2 weeks. Can it get worms again from eating its own poo while its on medication. Or another dog catch it? Or are the parasites in its poop dead when they’re defecated?
It’s Being treated for Roundworms.
