I have had two dogs that have died because of hookworms. We have a 4 acre yard, with horses and four children, where do I begin?

You don’t treat the yard, you treat the dog. Talk to your vet about control. To me, a simple de-worming schedule would be the most efficient.

- she is about 2 months old
- one of the puppies of the litter had worms, but she looked healthy always running playing and being destructive
-we didn’t notice any symptoms until yesterday when she didn’t want to eat, poop, play.
- she drinks very little water on occassions but other than that nothing goes into her stomach.
-all she does is sleep
last night she pooped out worms and it was then that we realized she did have them.
I went to my local Petsmart and bought a de-wormer for her but the thing is it is recommended that she be at least 12 weeks where as she is about 9. and it said not to give it to them if they are already sick.
i honestly don’t have any money to take her to the vet and the only thing i could afford was the de-wormer and a can of dog food to mix the medication in.
we forced the pill since she didn’t want to eat it, but she puked it up (i think) and well I’m scared.
i don’t know when i will have money any time soon.
should i keep giving her the de-wormer pill? or is there any other way i could get those worms out of her???
PLEASE HELP!

Is it expensive? I know i need to supply stool samples but how much does all of this cost??
btw they have had symptoms for about a wk.
