Just noticed today that hes gotten it, but not sure if my cats can get it from him.

Tape worms are not contagious they are contracted from an animal eating fleas. If you dog ate a flea it is likely your cats could have too, just check their bedding, it will look like small grains of rice or sesame seeds all in their bedding if they have it.
yes, you, the cat, your family. Anyone who’s around it can. Get meds from the vet for both cat and dog, and anywhere they’ve sat or lay needs to be throughly cleaned. Look especially for little tiny white things, like small grains of rice. Those are tapeworm segments. The litter tray will need cleaning out completely.

Yes,your cats can get tapeworm from your dog.Not trying to scare you,but you can get them from your dog too,so get them treated quickly.
