Question by Valerie: There is a worm-like thing coming out of my dog’s back leg. Can anyone help me?
There is a worm like creature or cyst coming out of my dogs upper back leg. I’ve never seen anything like it before. We thought it was a tick and my mom tried to burn it off but it only got bloody. It’s about an inch long and is not very thick, about a centimeter. I have looked all over online trying to find anything that it could be. Can anyone help me?

i would get your dog to the vet, it could even be tendons from his leg and burning it will only make you dog suffer…
Get him checked out asap

If you had a worm coming out of you, would you just burn it? No,I think you would run to a doctor! Take the dog to a vet,and hurry!
Get your pet to the vet ASAP. Hurry QUICK!

You burned your dog???
I understand trying to get the tick out- Your not actually supposed to burn the tick!
The heat close to it makes it come out- Please try the vet before you hurt your dog…
I know your trying to help- Please just go to the vet.. Doesn’t sound right to me..
It could be a skin tag that looks like a long wart. In that case it usually won’t need removed unless it becomes infected, which since it was irritated and bleeding it very may well be. Luckily since it is in that position it means the dog less likely scratch it, but can possibly bite it depending on where exactly it is.
Then again, that’s only a guess from what i have experienced.
See a vet.
Sounds like Cuterebra. You need a vet.

Cuterebra is a fly larva, which lives and develops under the skin of host animals, and is relatively common.
Medical Problem = VETERINARIAN
Seriously, if my dog had something medically wrong with it, I wouldnt be wasting time by asking people on the internet or potentially making it worse by self treating it.
