my dog has heart worms and i’ve been feeding it this medicine called interceptor. does this mean the medicine is working or something else is wrong?

Interesting – would heartworm come out that way – or does he also have intestinal worms?
http://www.placervillevet.com/canine%20heartworm.htm says “When treatment is finished your dog’s heartworms will be dead or dying. That’s good, but the heart is still full of worms. The worms gradually break into smaller and smaller pieces until the fragments are tiny enough for the body to eliminate them” – so I’d think he also has intestinal worms.
Was the worm he pooped dead or alive? Interceptor is (I believe) only effective on heartworms, and you may need another medication to treat the intestinal worms. Ask your vet ASAP, especially with regards to the bleeding.

you have to take your dog to the vet. they will know whats best.
Sounds like he has tape worms?? Did they look like rice or a piece of a spaghetti noodle?? Tapes are hard to control, because most meds do not kill them. Talk to your vet about it. How often are u giving the interceptor??
