Ringworm is a fungus not a worm and it is very unlikely to kill a dog. It is very contagious that is why there is an urgency to treat and cure it. In regards to heartworm how long it takes to kill a dog depends on “worm burden” that means how many worms are in the dogs heart. Smaller dogs have smaller hearts therefore less worms are needed to kill a smaller dog then a larger dog.
Why are you not asking “how long will it take to cure my little dog?”.
