Yes it is possible, de wrom all your pets to be safe
Absolutely, have the older dog vet checked asap.
your older dog can definitely get worms….you can deworm it too…it won’t hurt him
Yes! You need to worm both. Remember to worm your pup every 2 weeks til he is 12 weeks then every month until he is 6 months. then usually 3 monthly after that. Wormers only rid the anim al of the worms in their stystem at that time, so if you havent wormed your other dog your puppy has possibly injested some of your other dogs feaces and vice a versa and have probably been reinfested.
Yes, you need to worm the other dog too, if one has worms then the other may too, so just worm her to make sure she doesn’t.
Any animal can get worms. Your puppy can give it to any dog or cat for that matter. You should really take a fecal sample into your vet and have it checked for which worms it has. There are a few worm they can have and a diffeerent wormer for almost each worm. the only worms your animal can pass back and for are tapes which they normally get frm fleas or eatting dead animals… worms are passed back and forth by licking and ingesting the eggs.. So if they like to like each other or if your older dog steps in the puppies poop outside then licks her feet then she will have worms also… but like i said take a fecal for both into the vet have it check so you don’t waste your money getting the wrong wormer. I’ve been a vet tech for 10years… Hope this helps.
Yes puppies usually have round worms which are passed to other dogs and well as humans if they come in contact with the feces, you can just worm him as you worm the puppy so he doesn’t get them
If they use the same yard to go in, then yes. All it takes is for the older dog to step on puppy poo or sniff it.
