only thing to do is take him to the vet. they’ll give him meds and he’ll be ok in a few days.
You need to take your dog to the vet so they can give it some de-wormer and that will take care of it.
Go to the vet and get Drontal plus. If he continues to have problems you need to have a fecal run and deworm again.
You need to get it to a vet and take a fresh poop sample with you. A baggie in a baggie and labeled with the time, date and his name on it.
Worms are very common in pets and usually very easily corrected but it must be done with someone who knows how to do so safely.
Remember to really wash your hands after you pick up after your dog. You’d be surprised how many people don’t do that.
Take dog to the vet. Or just take a FRESH stool sample. Have them run a fecal test. They’ll give the proper medications to get rid of it. If it turns out to be tapeworms, be sure to check if your dog has a flea infestation. Tapeworms show up after an animal ingests a flea. Easily fixed.
Take it to the vet.
You are more than likely seeing round worms (looks like spaghetti) or tape worm segments (looks like flat pieces of rice). You would need to take the dog to the Vet (along with a stool sample) before they will dispense the deworming medication to you or if your dog has been to the Vet in the past year, give them a call and describe the worms you are seeing and they can have you pick up the medication. They may still want to see a stool sample. Be sure to keep the dog on flea preventive monthly like Frontline, Advantage or Advantix. They are all very safe, the stuff you buy in stores is toxic! Dogs can get tape worm by ingested a infected flea. Also, monthly heart worm prevention tablets (like Heartgard and Interceptor) not only protect against heart worms, but treat and prevent round worm and hook worm infestations. So between and flea preventive and heart worm preventive, it will keep your dog a bit safer.
take him to the vet before its to late and get him some medicine. hope everything turns out ok
The best is take him to the vet so they tell you exactly what to give it. Panacur is one of the best dewormers and it should be around 1.2mg per pound and is available over the counter and most of them tell you how much to give him in case you can’t get to the vet right away.
To help him in the mean time, get pepto bismol and in a cup mix 1 tablespoon of pepto with one of water and give him 1ml of the mixed pepto per pound this should help him feel better and temporarily help with the worms but this won’t cure it.
Now if you don’t have anything to measure how many mls then give him a teaspoon if it is a small dog or a tablespoon if it is medium or big dog. If you can measure it is better, any syringe without the needle should give you this measurements and is very good to give medicine. Hope this helps.
you don’t have to go to the vet but he needs to be dewormed immediately. worms will make dogs very sick and can kill them. using worm medication right out of the store that contains pyrantel is perfect. vets always ask if your worm medication contained that! he should be fine in a day or 2. if you want to make sure he’s 100% then a checkup at the vet’s will do.
