Most likely a tape worm. Did it look like a grain of rice sorta?
If it looks like a grain of rice, its most likely a tapeworm. They are easy to get rid of with the proper medicine from your vet.
It’s a tape worm. Tape worms start out small then get bigger and bigger, take her to the vet. She could have more, and if you don’t treat her, she could die.
Sounds like a tape worm. Has she been wormed lately? If she is up to date on all her shots, just take a fecal sample to your vet. They will give you the proper medication.
If your dog is not up to date on all shots, this would be a good time to take her in and get everything done.
yes. tapeworms are most definitely very small, and they move and get bigger and then shrink back down to a rice size. RICE SIZE. very small and nasty. my cat had one once.
if its not that small, it could be a different type of worm. you should bring the dog to the vet, as treating the dog for tapeworm is difficult. i bought pills from the store, the only one they sell for tapeworms, and only 3 pills were in the bottle. a very expensive bottle, and the medicating instructions was extremely obscure, plus it makes them sick. the vet will probably have a better alternative to guess-medicating.
Go to the vet.
As for what it is, unless the person answering is a veterinarian, NO ONE can legally tell you. To do so is diagnosing, which is ILLEGAL to do without being a vet.
Take a stool sample to the vet’s office. They will test it to determine what type of worms your dog has, and prescribe the correct worming medicine.
Probably a tapeworm.
However, as your dog needs to be treated, the only way to know for sure what type of worm it is and the proper treatment is to take “the worm” to the vet when you take your dog. They will need to get the dosage right.
A tapeworm is the correct answer. Get some meds from your Vet to take care of them. But to keep it from happening again and again, you need to put your dog on a Vet-recommended flea prevention. Tapeworms are a result of your dog swallowing a flea. Don’t endanger your dog by buying flea prevention from anywhere but a vet…some can be harmful.
